Donna's Short Stories

This page is in progress!

Like F. Scott Fitzgerald, my favorite medium is the short story, so naturally I've written hundreds.  But short stories are hard to sell nowadays.  This doesn't stop me from writing them, but I've also made the effort to produce novels.  Still, the short story reigns supreme in my book.  Below will be a list of some of my novellas and short stories.  I began collecting my own work at age 11; anything I produced prior to age 11 is but a memory, although I still remember my prodigious output.  With a piece of fiction, you get to create an entire world and I truly love it.

I have only a few stories that are online, since I prefer print markets; however, with online stories, I can provide links.  See below.

Below I have included a link to the podcast of my story "Fickle Finger of Fate."  This was done through the website TALES OF OLD.  "Fickle Finger of Fate" also appeared twice in print and was nominated for a Derringer Award.  Please note that you have to wade through another story to get to mine.  Mine is a fairly short story, but it comes after the first one.  It's set in 1930's Hollywood.

Below is a link to my 3-part suspense story Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.   When a rash of mysterious livestock killings is terrorizing the once-peaceful Shropshire countryside, Chief Inspector Oliver Oglethorpe is called in. One survivor of an attack on a group of young people claims to have seen a werewolf. But is there a werewolf or is it a hoax? Read all three parts and see.
